Growing Community and Clean Air: Help build a garden at Rio Hondo College

Be a part of something green and meaningful! 🌱

Join us at Rio Hondo College as we dig into a community effort to build a beautiful, sustainable garden. This hands-on volunteer event is all about growing local, reducing emissions from food transport, improving air quality, and creating a source of fresh, healthy produce right on campus.

We’re looking for helping hands to:
🛠 Build both stationary and moveable planters
🌿 Move soil and get our hands dirty planting herbs and veggies
🌍 Contribute to a cleaner environment and a stronger community

No experience necessary. Just bring your enthusiasm, some clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, closed-toe shoes, and a passion for the environment!

Our vision is to protect the breath of life by eliminating the causes of lung disease in our communities. We provide communities in Southern California the resources needed to promote clean air initiatives. Breathe SoCal works with local communities, elected leaders, business leaders and the health education community to increase awareness of the causes and treatments for lung-related diseases and breathing-related conditions.
