Summer Meeting: "The Iris"

Join us Friday, July 25 at 6pm at the Northfield Township Community Center for our summer meeting. The program will feature speaker Jacqueline (Stauch) Stickney. Ms. Stickney a 1965 graduate of Whitmore Lake High will speak about the "Iris", a 72 foot sailboat owned by Dr. Russell Smith of Whitmore Lake. In 1962 the boat carrying 26 sea scouts from the Whitmore Lake area collided with a freighter on Lake Huron. Join us for this interesting story. A few people that were on board that day are expected to be in attendance.
