Mushroomin' 101 Workshop and Book Signin'

Mushroomin’ 101 is a beginner level mushroom foragin’ workshop led by Appalachian Forager (Whitney). It includes a detailed PowerPoint presentation (available in PDF format to be emailed to ya after if you’d like to have it) along with a printed outline to tuck away in your foragin’ sack.
The presentation aims to get ya ready to hit the hills in search of edible fungi in a fun and approachable way. Topics covered include: how to get started with mushroom huntin’, resources to use, knowin’ your trees, what to wear/pack, mushroom anatomy, how to deal with critters, foragin’ rules and ethics, common mushroom myths, a deep dive into edible Appalachian mushrooms by season, and of course, there will probably be a few silly stories to go along with it.
A Q&A will follow to address any lingerin’ questions and for everyone to be able to chit chat about the mushrooms we all so love. Bring yer books if you'd like to have them signed and Whitney will bring a limited merch supply with her.
