Experience the beauty of the Blue Creek Nona France Quarry pond at night. Deck out your boat with lights and glow items for a unique glow experience. No boat, no problem! Rent a Metroparks kayak or canoe, complete with lights. This event is free for paddlers with their own boats, but registration is required.
All boats must have some light source on them. To preserve night vision avoid white lights when decorating your paddlecraft, but bring a white light (flashlight or headlamp) that can be turned on to avoid collisions. Metroparks boats will have safety lights provided, but you're welcome to bring additional glow lights to decorate your rental boat. Hand powered craft (canoes, kayaks, SUPs) only for this event, no motorized boats. All paddlers must wear a properly fitted personal flotation device at all times. All boats must be off the water by 10:00 pm. Paddlers bringing their own boats must carry their paddlecraft approximately 400 feet from the parking lot to the boat launch and must be able to transport their paddlecraft without assistance from staff.

Dogs are not permitted unless otherwise noted.
Please register by canoe. One canoe can hold 2-3 adult paddlers, or up to 4 paddlers with 2 children ages 4-7 riding in the middle. Paddlers must be 8 or older to paddle. No single paddlers; you cannot solo paddle a canoe for this event.
Bring your own boat: Free. Register for the Glow Paddle: Bring Your Own Boat program. All ages. We will be sending out FAQ and logistics information. All personal canoes and kayaks must be registered with ODNR watercraft division.
We recommend you bring a change of clothes and a towel. Dress to get wet and wear synthetic clothing (nylon, spandex, or polyester, no cotton). Wear old tennis shoes, water shoes, or sandals with a heel strap (no flip flops). Bring water and bug protection. Please leave all valuables at home. All boats, paddles, life jackets, lights, and paddling equipment will be provided. This program runs rain or shine. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
