Following on from my sold-out book launch in April, I am honoured to have been invited to return to the Garrick Theatre to host what I hope will become a regluar spoken word poetry event for Whitefield.
I am delighted to welcome a friend and inspirational poet, Steven P. Taylor, who will be the headline act on Thursday 9th October 2025.
Steven has been described as the love child of Pam Ayers and John Cooper Clarke! He writes about topical issues, the environment and the absurdities of life with humour and affection, but has no problem addressing the darker issues, creating a mix of styles and themes that will have you going from laughter to tears and provoking thoughts at the same time.
His material can be edgy and sometimes a little cheeky, but is always delivered with respect and the intention of entertaining his audience.
He recently played two sold-out theatre shows at The Met in Bury and has 5 books of published poems and a 6th on the way.
In addition, we will be joined by several other honoury members of The Whitefield area Troubador Society,
esteemed poetic lyricists who will perform for your entertainment and sensory pleasure, with the Bar open throughout.
