Soften (A Sacred Touch - Women Only Workshop)

When a woman's body is lightly tickled, caressed, hair played with, or massaged her body softens. Often women’s bodies are over-stimulated with a touch that takes rather than gives, our children climb on us, need us to hold them, to breast feed them, and our husbands often only touch us with expectation of more. This depletes a woman beyond words, her body bracing, hardening, flinching, slowly breaking her down over time. The reality for most women in the world is that their bodies have been used for the pleasure or needs of others, or have been taught to fear their bodies and this keeps us in our heads over thinking, stressing, feeling ungrounded, and we disconnect just to not have to feel. Women have a very delicate hormonal system that is offset by cortisol also known as stress, and one of the most potent ways to balance a woman’s hormones and lower stress is by increasing oxytocin. How we do that is through connection and touch, and one of the most potent ways women receive oxytocin is through prolonged non sexual physical touch.

This helps women land safely in their bodies just long enough for their minds to stop racing, thinking of the chores, the todo lists, the appointments, dinner, or thoughts of am I safe. When this happens…

A sacred softening occurs, a place where she can learn how to fully receive and relax, and from this place healing emerges in ways you did not think possible. Hormones begin to shift and align, creativity returns, a felt sense of coming home, deep emotional healing unravels and safety, bliss, joy, and pleasure are left. This is why sisterhood is so important, a woman's touch is special, it asks for nothing in return, it gives with love and care, it's healing, and it’s filled with magic. Women were always meant to support each other in this way, holding each other in more ways than one, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Let us begin to heal our sisterhood wounds, receiving wounds, reclaim our yes’s and no’s and find deep and profound safety and relaxation together.

Join us for a deeply nourishing evening of connection, sacred touch, laughter, tears, and profound relaxation.

What you can expect from this workshop:

• First and foremost a crash course in consent, the safety and well being of the participants is number one.
• Opening the sacred circle setting intention.
• Quick introduction into why we are here.
• Connection exercises to warm up and get to know each other
• 1 hour of sacred touch (30 mins per woman)
• Soundbath to anchor in deeper relaxation
• Sharing circle to integrate the experience
• Closing the Circle

Total time of workshop is 3 hours

Things to bring with you:

• Water bottle
• Journal in case you need to write during integration time
• Pillow, Small Blanket, Yoga Mat
• Wear loose fitting clothing, or closing to allow access to your skin based on your comfort level
