This event is brought to you by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, Southern Oregon Archery LLC., Dewclaw, and Skookum Ridge Bowhunting Supply.
Registration: Pre-registration is welcome but not necessary to attend this family friendly event. Those 17 years of age or under must have an adult accompanying them; the supervising adult does not have to shoot or be pre-registered.
Cost: $10 per participant to be paid at the entrance. CASH ONLY.
Time: 8 a.m. start time. Archers can stagger their attendance. Last archer out at 1pm.
Location: follow GPS Coordinates: 42.44374, -122.8565. The course is on Denman Wildlife Area on the Military Slough tract, behind the green gate on Tou Velle Road (course and registration booth are located at the end of Tou Velle Road on the left or North side).
Description of Event: This event features 40 3-D animal targets on a 2-mile course where participants walk maintained trails and gravel roads. Please wear appropriate footwear and dress for Oregon's unpredictable weather. Targets are numbered and the course is marked. Maps are available at the registration booth. Participants shoot up to 2 shots per target, distances vary from 10 to 60 yards with a focus on targets ranging from 10 to 20 yards. Porta-potties are available at central locations along the course. You must bring your own equipment, lunch, snacks, and hydration drinks.
