Helm Creek Trailwork Day

Helm Creek trail repair

Join the Friends of Garibaldi Park Society for some trail repair on the Helm Creek trail. We'll start at the Cheakamus Lake trailhead and hike the first 1.5km to the junction with the Helm Creek trail. From here, we will start up the steep switchbacks and work on clearing rocks and debris off the first 1 km of trail.

Minimum age 18 years due to insurance reasons.

Dogs are not allowed in Garibaldi Provincial Park.

DISTANCE: 5km roundtrip

ELEVATION GAIN: moderate

TIME NEEDED: 3-5 hours

BOOK RATING: Easy to moderate

MEETING TIME AND LOCATION: 9.30 am Cheakamus Lake trailhead parking lot, by the info sign. You have to provide your own transportation to trailhead as Friends of Garibaldi is not able to arrange for carpooling or ride share.

LATEST RETURN TIME: 3pm back at the cars. For safety reasons BC Parks require trail watch volunteers to hike out together.

NOTES: Please bring along water, lunch, and any snacks you will need.
