Explore the Science behind Art & Nature! Join us at the Land of Oak & Iron Heritage Centre on a day of discovery with the Royal Society of Chemistry and Northumbria University.

Dive into fascinating interactive activities featuring:

Creative chemistry
Smells, fibres, and forensics
Natural materials & their hidden secrets
Calligraphy sessions
DIY wrapping paper stations
Learn how the natural world helps us make fibres, fabrics, inks, and art—then try it all yourself!

This is great fun for all ages (including the grown ups) and it’s free to attend – no need to book, just turn up and take part in making chemistry!
