Crafternoon Tea

In celebration of the spring season, Clear Creek Makerspace presents Crafternoon Tea, a family-friendly outdoor tea party – with crafts!

Wear your finest tea-time regalia, flowery-est dresses, and most extravagant hats to join us in Anderson Park for an afternoon of seasonal crafts and refreshments. Scheduled for Saturday, May 10th – on Mother’s Day weekend! – this event is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the caregivers in your life.

We’ll gather under the Anderson Park Pavilion to enjoy savory treats, delicious desserts and refreshing beverages as you create beautiful, one-of-a-kind crafts on a lovely spring afternoon. Craft options include collaged bookmarks and cards, felt potted plants, painted candles, and wire-wrapped photo holders. Whether it's warm and sunny or rainy and gray, we’ll be protected from the elements under the pavilion and we’ll keep plenty of heaters on hand, just in case.

Attendees are encouraged to wear spring-themed, tea-time or Regency-inspired outfits and make memories at our beautiful, one-of-a-kind photo backdrop to capture the moment in style. The custom backdrop will be created by Andrea Fischer, a Denver-based installation artist and clothing designer whose immersive installations and sculptures ask viewers to indulge in an altered whimsical reality valued by recycled materials.

Each ticket includes entry to the event, snacks, beverages, and one beginner-friendly craft of your choice to create at the event. Want to make more than one creation? Additional crafts can be purchased day-of for a discounted rate. All craft supplies, tools and instructions will be provided, and hands-on expert assistance will be available throughout the event.

*Children accompanied by an adult are welcome at this event, and up to 3 child tickets may be purchased with each adult ticket. One adult may accompany up to 3 children, and children must be supervised by their accompanying adult at all times.
