Enjoy beautiful Mt. Baker with us! We will be painting dramatic mountain scenes near the Mt Baker ski area. Our painting adventure starts at famous Picture Lake, continues around the Bagley Lakes and ends with a not to be missed visit to Artists Point.
This is a fragile alpine environment. Please ensure that you do no damage by not stepping on or setting your gear on any vegetation. Alpine plants take many years to recover from damage inflicted.

Silver Fir Campground is only a ten minute drive to Picture lake.

If you are a member of the Mountaineers, check to see if their Mt. Baker lodge is available for the weekend.
Passes/permits
A Recreation Pass will be needed for all places we are visiting. You can purchase a day pass at kiosk on side of road just past Picture Lake or all passes at the Heather Meadows visitors center open 10am-4pm daily.
Or you can go online and purchase them here: https://www.fs.usda.gov/main/mbs/passes-permits/recreation
Mt Baker Ski Lodge
The lodge has a great cafe, and the mountains best restrooms, including running water to wash your hands!
Overall directions:
I highly recommend using Google Maps to determine your best route. Search Picture Lake, Washington. Artist Point is at the end of highway 542 which runs past the Mt. Baker Ski Area.
