If you or someone in your whānau would be keen to join in a fun, vibrant celebration of our Pasifika communities through sport, we’d love to have you involved! Whether you're into volleyball, touch, kai, or just want to cheer on your community there’s something for everyone. Feel free to share this with any whānau who might be keen to register a team or come along and enjoy the day!
Pasifika Volleyball & Touch Tournament at the McKay Stadium.
6th September – Whanau Day
20th September – Competitive day
Details:
Registration closes: Friday, 1st August
Game days : 8:30am till 3pm, half time performances by Cook Island community and the Samoan Community
Tongan food Whanau day , Fijian food Competition Day
Teams may register for either volleyball or touch, but not both, in the same day.
Teams can enter as Men's, Women's or Mixed.
Mixed team conditions: minimum of 2 female players, 2 male players per team, 2 players aged over 30 & 2 players aged 12.
Mama's & Papa's team: for whānau day only - players must be aged over 50 ( needing 4 teams please)
2x Bouncy castles for young ones (need to be watched by an adult or sibling no younger than 14yrs)
Players from Auckland, Kaitaia, Dargaville and Mid North are filling up fast!
