The Portland Dress - A Textile Exploration

Join Sarah, Stepford Studios tutor, to explore the b- side Portland Dress project, where you will be invited to create a small, textile motif, over two evening sessions, that will contribute to the Portland Dress and complementary exhibition works for b-side 2025.
In preparation for the workshop, you will be provided with a kit containing materials, prompts and inspirational ideas to get your creativity flowing.
At the sessions, you will work alongside other participants, bringing your ideas to life, sharing stories and connecting creatively.
Thinking about what connects you to Portland, we will be exploring themes and narratives around ancestry, heritage and legacy, and you will be invited to share your stories, to be included in the project, alongside the Portland Dress.
