Join us for a peaceful, 30-minute sitting meditation on the historic Old Wethersfield Green along picturesque Broad Street. Surrounded by towering trees and open sky, this gathering offers a rare chance to pause, breathe, and reconnect—with nature, yourself, and others.
This is not a religious event. Meditation on the Green focuses on mindfulness and quiet sitting meditation as a universal human practice. It is non-sectarian and open to everyone, regardless of background or belief system.
No experience is necessary. All are welcome.
Please bring a meditation cushion, zafu, or folding chair for your comfort.
After the sitting, you're invited to stay for light socializing, Q&A, and mindful conversation with fellow participants. Afterwards, you can partake in outdoor cafes, museums, gelato, ice cream, and so much more. Make a day out of visiting charming Old Wethersfield!
Look for Tibetan prayer flags —that’s your host, G.R. Lewis, a trained mindfulness and Buddhist teacher. He will be available to offer mindfulness suggestions and answer questions. We will meet at the large tree near Wethersfield sign (see photo).
Depending on the group, a short walking meditation may also be offered.
This is a free event, but a suggested donation of $10 is greatly appreciated to help support our programs. To donate, visit our WEB SITE DONATION PAGE HERE:
