WESTWOOD MEMORIAL DAY PARADE AND MEMORIAL SERVICES, MONDAY MAY 26, 2025
(Westwood, NJ) The Westwood Veteran's Council and American Legion Post 206 will host the Westwood Memorial Day Parade at 9am on Monday, May 26, immediately following the 8am Westwood Fire Department Memorial Service at Firemen's Park.
The parade will begin at Five Corners, at the intersection of Kinderkamack Road and Harrington Avenue, and process down Westwood Ave to Veterans Park. Immediately following the procession, the Veteran's Council will host their annual Memorial Day Military Memorial Service at the war memorial at Veterans Park.
Residents are encouraged to line the streets for the parade which will include the Westwood Veteran's Council and honorary Grand Marshall, the Westwood High School Marching Band, a collection of antique cars, Westwood Police Department, Westwood Fire Department, Westwood Ambulance Corps, Westwood Elks, Westwood scouts, youth athletes, the Westwood Community Band and more.
In case of rain, ceremonies will be held at the Westwood Community Center (55 Jefferson Ave) at 10am.
Additionally, children are invited to decorate their bikes, trikes, scooters, strollers, or wagons & join in the parade, too, as part of the "Children's Bike & Wagon Brigade" co-hosted by Celebrate Westwood. Parents must accompany their children throughout the parade route and all riders must wear a helmet. Those interested in participating should assemble at the corner of Roosevelt and Harrington at 8:45am.
