The Westwood Environmental Action Committee (WEAC) and BiBi Cafe & Bakery are hosting an "EV Cars & Coffee" event. The event aims to educate Westwood residents about electric vehicles (EVs) and encourage greener transportation options. Local EV owners will be present to answer questions about real-world EV range, home charging options, choosing the right EV model, and the locations of Westwood's charging stations.
"As an EV driver, people are always asking me questions about topics such as range and home charging," said Julie Gervais, WEAC member. "WEAC thought it would be fun to bring Westwood EV car owners together with other residents who might be considering getting an EV, to answer their questions and share a cup of coffee."
BiBi Cafe and Bakery, a beloved local Westwood business, will be providing complimentary coffee for event attendees. “At BiBi, our mission goes beyond great food—we believe in education, connection, and empowering our community,” said owner Tcheilly Nunes. “We’re proud to support Westwood’s journey toward a greener, more united future.” A selection of BiBi’s signature sweets and treats will also be available for purchase during the event.
A variety of EVs will be on display, and Tom Philbin, Westwood Town Energy Manager, will be available to answer questions about EV charging options in Westwood.
