Mushrooms: Keys to the Kingdom

Join us for a special two and a half hour exploration into the fascinating world of fungi at the WRWA River Center with Joe Metzen from the Audubon Society of RI. This beginner-friendly program will start with a look at field guides, rules for eating, and an engaging slide presentation. We’ll then head out on a guided walk in search of mushrooms in their natural habitats. Participants are welcome to bring along their own finds for identification and discussion. Perfect for curious nature lovers who want to take their first steps into mushroom identification and ecology. Feel free to bring a bag lunch or snacks. Appropriate for ages 10 and up.
