Join us for a day filled with all things Monarchs!
We will meet up in the parking lot on Gooseberry Island.
The day will start with a lesson on Monarchs; including their life cycle, feeding habits, body parts and migration pattern.
There will be a demonstration on how to properly tag a Monarch before we head out in search of Monarchs on their migration south.
After our lesson and tagging adventure, we will plan to have a picnic lunch together. So, pack a lunch and bring a picnic blanket if you have one.
This adventure is put on by Liz at the Lloyd center in Dartmouth. This adventure cost $20 per participating child. If you have a 3 year old that wants to be part of the tagging, you will need to pay for them. If you have a 3 year old that will not be participating and just tagging along with older siblings do not worry about paying for them. Generally 3 and under free (unless they are really wanting to be part of the tagging. We have to pay for the tags.)
There are a limited amount of nets. If your kiddos have nets please bring them along to insure everyone has a net.
Lastly if your child has a bee allergy we need to know about it. That doesn't mean they can't participate. They will just stay closer to the parking area for their safety.
We need a head count. (This group has a max number of participants.) If you plan to join please mark yourself as going and comment below on the amount of participating children and their ages.
If this group fill up or this day doesn't work for you let me know. We will plan for a second group on Friday the 3rd of October.
We are super excited about our adventure together!! See you soon.
