Introduction to Mahjong

Curious about mahjong and ready to see what all the fuss is about? Come learn in a relaxed, welcoming, and fun-first environment.

This beginner-friendly class is perfect for brand-new players or anyone wanting a refresher. We’ll cover the tiles, the 2025 NMJL card, and the flow of the game so you can start playing with confidence. Expect clear instruction, zero pressure, and lots of laughs.

Come solo or bring a friend, everyone’s welcome at our tables. You’ll leave with a solid foundation and probably a few new friends too.

All materials are provided. Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in and get settled. We’ll begin promptly at 6:00 pm.

Cost is $40 per person. Please Venmo Yianna (@Yianna-Kappas) to secure your spot. Class is limited to 12 people.

Tickets are nonrefundable. Each table needs a specific number of players, so every seat really does count.
