Join Westport Museum for History and Culture, Executive Director, Ramin Ganeshram as she shares the hidden history of Westport’s connection to Juneteenth, the national holiday that celebrates the final liberation of enslaved people during the Civil War. Based on the Museum’s extensive research into our town’s role in the Union Army and Black History in the region, this event will share some surprising unknown facts about Westport’s role in the fights for freedom. Guests will get to see actual Civil War artifacts from the Museum’s collection.
