Foraging & Cooking with Wild Foods Class

Join us for a class on summer foraging and cooking with wild food on Saturday, July 19th at 10 AM at Earthplace in Westport. This class will be co-taught by CT Foraging Club founder Amy Demers and forager & chef Vinny Crotta. Participants will learn how to identify and utilize edible and medicinal plants and mushrooms that can be found in the summer. Chef Vinny will also discuss how to use wild ingredients in the kitchen.

Class will consist of a 45 minute lecture where you will learn how to differentiate edible species from any toxic look alikes. We will also discuss sustainability and recipes. We will then go on a 45 minute walk where we will practice plant and mushroom ID.

This class will be $30 per person. 15% of ticket sales will go towards a donation to Earthplace, whose goal is to build respect for the natural world & passion for a more sustainable future.
