Fall Beginner Rowing - Ages 11.5-14 years old

=The beginner group is for athletes ages 11.5-14 years old. Most beginner rowers are new to the sport or have limited experience. The goal for beginners is to enjoy being on the water while they gain a basic understanding of how to row safely. Beginner rowers will have the opportunity to experience both sweep rowing and sculling and will spend time on land working on necessary body weight strengthening, balancing, and flexibility exercises. Beginner rowers may have the vision to one day compete in the sport, but beginner rowing is strictly an introduction to the sport and a great stepping stone into the intermediate program as well as a competitive team. Winter Season is indoors where the athletes work on improving their skills and fitness on the erg and through body weight exercises.
