The beauty of Clare Island itself is the real sun, moon and star of the show: from swimming at the cove; or volleyball on the beach; to Knockmore hikes; and fabulous Bike-rental sightseeing across Clew Bay and the Wild Atlantic on this calm and magical island.

Weekenders are always mindful and reminded of respect for the Island's beauty and welcoming people while here.
Please leave no trace and bring all waste away with us back to the mainland on Monday, leaving the island and the campsite exactly as we find them on Friday.
Use of the campside and facilities is payable at the Community Centre at €10 per night per person.

Transport from Westport Train station to Roonagh Pier can be self-arranged €96 each way on a minibus by groups of up to 12 people booking in with

Bear in mind the last ferry from Roonagh Pier on Friday 30 May will be around 6pm, so the midday train from Heuston for those travelling from Dublin would be the best option to make the last Friday sailing.
There is a carpark at Roonagh Pier, where cars may be left over the weekend. As the carpark can tend to be very full on the Bank Holiday Weekender, please allow time to find a spot and walk on board the Ferry! The ferry crossing is around 20-minutes and is €17 return for foot passengers with Clareislandferry.com
The venue, Bay View House and Sailors Bar, will be running a menu throughout the weekend and catering Sunday afternoon's BBQ. There will be bar food / service at the venue during the weekend. We ask that all guests support the food service at the Bay View House / Sailors Bar event venue as they are putting chefs and a menu on especially to support the event, including the famous Sunday Jazz BBQ!
Other food options include Clare Island Oven, who serve Pizza and Bakes, and Ireland's best Sausage Rolls. Self-cater supplies from the island shop, up by the Abbey, a 30-minute walk from the harbour.

Campers best come prepared with some provisions, and expect Irish summer weather with rain-gear, sunscreen and mosquito repellant all rolled into one ball of sunshine funtime!
