Weathering the Storm: Hurricane Readiness Training Day

Join us for this hands-on training event designed to strengthen your skills in preparing for and responding to hurricanes and their health impacts.

Program highlights will include:

• A presentation on hazard response and recovery from last year’s record hurricane season by Mary Mayhew, President and CEO of Florida Hospital Association
• A presentation on how hurricanes form and function by Meteorologist and Author Cyrena Arnold

• An interactive panel discussion on regional hurricane planning featuring representatives from Eversource, MEMA, and local hospitals

• A hands-on presentation on the disproportionate health impacts on vulnerable communities caused by hurricanes

• Lunch will be available for purchase on site for $12/person for all-you-can-eat in Regis College’s cafeteria, which provides delicious fresh food. 

• Parking is free and adjacent to the Student Center building – campus police detail will direct you to the appropriate parking lot.
