Ride to Support the 27th Annual Red Helmet Ride

All riders, civilians, and firefighters are invited to participate in this show of support for America’s fallen fire heroes and their families.

This is a rain or shine ride, and riders will ride at their own risk.

Registration: 11:00 AM
Safety Briefing: 11:30 AM
KSU: 11:45 AM
(All non-BWOB members must be registered/waivers signed by 11:30 AM and attend the Safety Briefing
to be able to participate in the BWOB Escort.)

This will be an escorted ride to the Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company to join the Official Red Helmet Ride Escort. Concessions and restrooms are available on site at Walkersville, and a gas station is located next door.

The Red Helmet Ride is a police and fire department-escorted ride and starts promptly at 2 PM from Walkersville VFC. The ride will ride past the Fire Heroes Family Hotel in Gettysburg, PA, and then onto the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Emmitsburg, MD.

After arriving on campus at 3:15 pm, riders will line up to greet the Fire Hero Families at 4:00 pm.

A wreath-laying ceremony will take place at the National Memorial at 4:30 pm.
