Hamnet (2025) is a historical drama directed by Chloé Zhao, starring Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal, based on Maggie O'Farrell's novel about the family tragedy that inspired Shakespeare's Hamlet. The film focuses on the grief of William Shakespeare and his wife, Agnes, after the death of their son, Hamnet, and explores themes of love, loss, and artistic inspiration, with a US release in late November 2025.
