Care and Connect Day

Gunida Gunyah Aboriginal Corporation invites the community to Care and Connect Day on Thursday, July 25, 2025, at The Hub, 167–169 Conadilly Street, Gunnedah. Starting at 9:00 AM, the day is hosted by the Programs, Services and Support (PSS) team, including staff from the Marrabaa Family Safety Project, Wuu-rri Banma-li Crisis Accommodation Services, Warranggal Dhiyan, and Lilly Pilly Place.

The event offers free haircuts and beauty services by Walkabout Barber—no appointments needed. A free BBQ lunch will be served from 11:30 AM, with a variety of service provider stalls available for community members to connect with.

A highlight of the day is a community workshop at 1:00 PM facilitated by Brian Dowd, focusing on trauma and recovery. Brian is a respected leader in social and emotional wellbeing with over 25 years of experience and qualifications in trauma recovery and barbering.

All are welcome to join for a day of connection, healing, and support.
