Woven with creativity, reflection, and a whole lot of imagination—Threads of August invites you to slow down and make something meaningful each Thursday in August. From playful STEM projects to heartfelt remembrance art, each session offers a new opportunity to create, connect, and carry a story forward. Let’s craft this month into something truly memorable!
WEEKLY ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:
✨ August 7th
-Kids: Straw & Paper Rockets – Kick off back-to-school season with a fun STEM craft! Make your own rocket and see how far it can fly.
-Adults: Candle Painting – Light up your creativity by designing a one-of-a-kind painted candle.
✨ August 14th
-Kids: Backpack Bling – Customize your backpack with a fun, colorful keychain made from beads, tassels, and mini animals.
-Adults: DIY Tetris Fridge Magnets – Create up to 10 playful Tetris magnets to brighten up your fridge.
✨ August 21st
-Kids: Pocket Tic Tac Toe – Make a travel-ready tic-tac-toe game that fits in your pocket—perfect for road trips and recess!
-Adults: Crescent Moon String Art – Learn the basics of string art and craft a dreamy crescent moon in the colors you love.
✨ August 28th (Holocaust Remembrance)
-Kids: Spinning Butterfly Craft – Color and create a spinning butterfly, honoring the children lost in the Holocaust.
-Adults: Remembrance Flame Paper Quilling – Craft a symbolic flame using the delicate art of paper quilling as a tribute of remembrance.
