Become a NRA Certified Range Safety Officer !

OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC : Except for valid DoD ID card holders, all visitors must obtain a background check to receive a visitor pass to enter West Point prior to class. West point Visitor Center: 6 a.m. - 10 p.m. daily.

- Participants must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
- The course lasts 9 hours
- Individuals with violent or drug-related felony convictions are ineligible. Individuals must be legally eligible to possess or transport a firearm.
- Payment for the course does not guarantee certification. Must achieve a score 90% on the final exam to pass.
- Once the course fee has been paid, refunds will not be issued 72 hours prior to the commencement of the class.

**Certification Fees: ** - The course fees do not include the NRA processing and certification fee. For NRA members, the fee is $30 for a two-year certification. For non-members of the NRA, the fee is $50 for a two-year term. Participants will manage the online certification process upon completion of the class. Further details will be provided during the class.
