Explore the rich tapestry of our community through hands-on projects inspired by tradition and personal storytelling. From intricate crafts rooted in heritage to heartfelt creations made for someone special—like grandparents!—each activity offers a chance to connect or make something beautiful.
WEEKLY ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:
✨September 4th
Kids: Grandparent Stickers– Create one-of-a-kind stickers using paper, wax paper, and packing tape—perfect for grandparents or anyone special.
Adults: Fake Flower Book Vase – Transform an old book into a charming faux-floral display.
✨ September 11th
Kids: DIY Maracas – Turn recycled Easter eggs, spoons, colorful tape, and rice into a pair of musical maracas in celebration of Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month.
Adults: Fall Leaf Mini Mason Jar Lanterns – Decorate a petite mason jar with autumn leaves and add a tea light for a cozy seasonal glow.
✨ September 18th
Kids: Tissue Paper Marigolds – Craft bright marigold blooms from tissue paper and pipe cleaners in honor of Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month.
Adults: Book Page Flowers – Cut and shape delicate paper flowers from recycled book pages—the perfect complement to your book vase from earlier in the month!

All ages: Library Card Games – Play memory match, tic-tac-toe, and more using library cards as your game pieces—including a giant puzzle challenge!
