Reading Smoke

Hosted by the West Ossipee Fire Department - If you have ever been in charge of a working structure fire you know how challenging it can be. Modern day fires require laser focused Incident Commanders who make the best possible tactical decisions. Reading and understanding fire smoke is critically important. Don’t get sidetracked with non-essential fireground tasks. Stay fully involved with the management of the incident. Aggressive firefighting tactics requires the best possible training and decision-making.
