Hoàng & Mother's Egg Roll Order Fundraiser (08/10/25)
What/why:
Xin chào các bạn! Hoàng’s mother is going to Vietnam in mid-August. We're selling her world famous egg rolls to raise $$/supplies for three locations: Hoa Mai Orphanage, Hướng Dương Orphanage, and Huyện Phụng Hiệp General Hospital’s soup kitchen in Hậu Giang province. Please place an order if you’d like to support her fundraising efforts!
When:
Sunday, August 10, 2025, 12:30-2:30pm est. If you can't make this date, you can still order frozen egg rolls only and coordinate with Hoàng for pick-up at a later date.
Where/how:
Tentative in-person pick-up near 16th and Newton NW (Mt. Pleasant area). Possible switch to 9th and Gallatin NW (Brightwood Park area). I’ll text you the specific address after you place your order. We'll have freshly fried and frozen & vegetarian and chicken egg rolls for sale. The frozen egg rolls will be pre-cooked, so all you have to do is re-heat them (think Trader Joe's energy). If you place an order for frozen egg rolls, Hoàng will text you re-heating instructions after he receives your Venmo payment. We advise you to re-heat with an air fryer (best option) or deep fryer (second best option) for best results.
Cost:
You must order in batches of fives. $15-$50 sliding scale per batch, suggested donation of $25 per batch. Venmo @kevvfefe, last four digit 9981, with the following caption: "Your Name, egg rolls" (ex. Hoàng P., egg rolls). I'll "heart" your payment to confirm receipt.
