Join us for Newfields 4th annual cardboard regatta & FREE BBQ at Rockhaven town beach!
REGATTA RULES
1. The only materials allowed are cardboard (non coated), tape (duct or boxing), and max of 2 pool noodles.
2. You can decorate however you like with cardboard accessories, paint, markers, etc, but nothing that is water repellent.
3. All children 11 and under must wear a life jacket.
4. No motors allowed, paddles & oars are okay (Must provide your own)
5. All participants must agree to allowing photos taken of their boat and selves and can be used on town social media.
6. On top of the race, there will also be a "best looking" award for each team category that will be determined by a voting system.
7. The four type of teams are as follows:
A. K-2nd
B. 3rd-5th
C. 6th to 9th
D 10th grade and up
***For mixed ages, teams will race with the group of the oldest member on their team***
8. Team must be registered by August 15th to be able to compete in race. Register by sending a message directly to us via Facebook messenger. (No more than 2 people per team)
9. A waiver must be signed the day of the Regatta.
