A Walk in the Park

Walking has been proven to provide endless health benefits for seniors, including a reduced risk of obesity, heart disease, and stroke! The West Fargo Park District is excited to invite older adults to mix things up from their normal workout routine and join in on an active morning at Elmwood Park.

On Wednesday, May 28, the West Fargo Park District’s Annual A Walk in the Park will encourage seniors to be healthy and active by participating in a one-mile walk around South Elmwood Park’s paved path.

This walk features a commemorative t-shirt, refreshments/light snacks, and music. This event is FREE, and all participants that pre-register by May 9 will receive a commemorative t-shirt.

Wednesday, May 28, 2025, is National Senior Health & Fitness Day, an annual event observed by more than 1,000 local organizations across the United States. Several local senior health and wellness events are planned across the nation and will encourage older adults to enhance the quality of their lives through regular physical activity.
