Taste Islay’s boldest spirit in six powerful pours from Kilchoman, the island’s only farm-to-bottle distillery. Hosted by Catherine MacMillan, Kilchoman’s Brand Manager and proud Islay native, this exclusive event dives deep into peated perfection and rare cask experiments—each dram poured with story and purpose.

🔹 100% Islay – 13th Edition (50% ABV, 2023)

Lightly peated (20ppm), made from barley grown and floor malted on-site, matured in ex-bourbon casks.

Notes: Soft smoke, creamy vanilla, fresh citrus, barley sweetness.

🔹 Small Batch 2023 (48.7% ABV)

Heavily peated, matured in a mix of 75% bourbon, 20% STR red wine, and 5% sherry casks.

Notes: Charred oak, spiced stone fruit, smoke, red berries, subtle wine tannin.

🔹 Sauternes Cask Matured (50% ABV, 2024)

Heavily peated, fully matured in sweet Sauternes wine barriques.

Notes: Candied apricot, floral peat, honeyed smoke, white chocolate.

🔹 Port Cask Matured (50% ABV, 2024)

Heavily peated, fully matured in ruby port casks.

Notes: Blackberry jam, bonfire smoke, chocolate, toasted spices.

🔹 PX Sherry Cask Matured (50% ABV, 2023)

Heavily peated, fully matured in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.

Notes: Raisins, espresso, dark chocolate, syrupy richness, deep peat.

🔹 Batch Strength (57% ABV, Ongoing Release)

Heavily peated, matured in bourbon, sherry, and STR casks.

Notes: Intense smoke, lemon oil, burnt sugar, dried fruit, maritime grip.

Catherine was born and raised in Ardbeg, with one of Islay’s most iconic distilleries as her neighbour. Now Kilchoman’s Brand Manager, she brings a rare authenticity and passion to every dram—connecting her island roots with your glass.
