Join us for a special Winter Solstice community pack walk — a grounding, instinct-led way to honor the longest night of the year and welcome the slow return of the light. ✨
This walk is for anyone who wants:
🌲 Calm, structured pack movement
🌲 A mindful reset before the holidays
🌲 A deeper connection with nature + their dog
🌲 A safe, on-leash community experience
🌿 WHAT TO EXPECT
✔ We’ll start with a short grounding ritual + solstice mantra
✔ Walk together in calm, structured pack flow
✔ Practice winter trail etiquette + instinctual leadership
✔ Close with a seasonal reflection + intention setting
This is an on-leash, no-greetings, give-space event.
All breeds and training levels welcome as long as they can remain respectful in a structured group environment.

After the walk:
🐾 Warm bone broth for the pups
🌼 Optional Solstice Blessing Bags you can take home — filled with natural aromatic items (cedar, orange peel, cinnamon, juniper) for a cozy winter steam pot.

Iowa Dog Hiking Club is 100% free, volunteer-led, and structured for safety.
Humans of all ages welcome. Dogs must stay on leash the entire time.
