Join us for an intimate evening of acoustic music and a sunset view of Mount Mansfield with The Moon Shells .
The Moon Shells draw from the roots of the music in Appalachia, Louisiana, West Africa, and elsewhere to explore what it can do and try to make something new. As inspired by nature as by culture, they make music about contending with the past, accepting the present, and running headlong into adapting to the future.
They’ve released four albums of original music, three traditional fiddle albums, played small clubs and festivals across New England, and taught numerous workshops about fiddle music and what can be done with it. In 2022 they were nominated for Americana Band of the Year for the New England Music Awards.
Gates open at 6:00, show starts at 7:00.
Bring a picnic dinner and a chair or blanket. We’re hoping for clear weather and an outside show, but in case of rain we’ll move into the sugarhouse.
All ages are welcome, Children 12 and under are FREE (+ do not need a ticket)! Please no glass or pets.
