Description of class and how to purchase book:
The American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) course provides the foundation for saving lives after cardiac arrest. Based on the most recent AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC , this course teaches basic life support skills for application in both in-facility and prehospital settings. It has a focus on concepts of high-quality CPR, improvement of chest compression fraction, and high-performing team dynamics.
Who should take this course?
Healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and pre-hospital settings.

What is the format of the course?
This is a four-hour, classroom-based course with cognitive and psychomotor training. Video-based, real-world scenarios are used for skills practice and testing.
Before attending the course, please be sure to purchase and read the AHA BLS Provider Manual. Purchase of the AHA BLS Provider Manual is required for participation in the course and is available for purchase as hard copy or as an ebook. Links below.
