37th Annual Hoover-Ball National Championships 🎉

𝐇𝐨𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫-𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤!🎉
The 37th Annual National Championship Tournament returns to West Branch, Iowa—Herbert Hoover’s hometown—on Saturday, August 9, 2025, during Hoover’s Hometown Days.

Invented on the White House lawn in 1928 to keep President Hoover fit, Hoover-Ball is a fast-paced blend of tennis, volleyball, and a 6-pound medicine ball. Today, teams from across the country compete for national bragging rights, cash prizes, and a place on the championship trophy displayed at the Hoover Presidential Library & Museum.

💥 Adult Tournament – Saturday, August 9
Divisions: Men’s and Women’s

1st Place: $200 + medals + team name on the trophy
2nd Place: $150 + medals
3rd Place: $100 + medals
$20 per person, Registration closes August 7th.

💥Youth Tournament – Friday, August 8 at 4:00 PM
Open to students entering grades 4–9

Come cheer on the teams throughout the weekend—no ticket needed! Tournament play happens all day Saturday (9am start) and the FINAL Adult Championship Game will be held at 6:00 PM Saturday as part of the "Hoover’s Hootenanny" festival finale.

Before that, don’t miss a special Locals vs. Legacies pick-up game at 5:30 PM, featuring Herbert Hoover’s great-grandchildren!
