Come join The Optimist Club of West Bloomfield to hear Guest Speaker, Reverend Monica Williams, President of the Greater West Bloomfield Faith-Community Alliance, enjoy some camaraderie and a continental breakfast of bagels and cream cheese, pastries and coffee.
The Club members begin gathering around 7:15 to greet one another, grab some grub and ensure an on time start.
Here is a biography of Reverend Monica Wiliams:
Rev. Monica Williams is an ordained United Methodist clergywoman with 20 years of experience in leading churches and a licensed Financial Advisor working with Thrivent. She has used her preaching and leadership skills to serve five churches, and has served as President of the Greater West Bloomfield Faith-Community Alliance and Chair of the Board of Directors for the Wesley Foundation at the University of Michigan, an historic United Methodist Campus Ministry. She is currently the West Bloomfield Police Chaplain.
She believes deeply in listening carefully, learning from our disagreements, and including all voices at the table, especially in polarized and divisive times. Rev. Monica helps the organizations she serves to move forward with vision and increased capacity to fulfill their missions.
She also enjoys making music, running, outdoor adventures, playing games, and watching movies with her kids. She currently lives in West Bloomfield, MI with her three children, two cats, and countless household spiders.
