Komal Rishabh presents Classical Vocal Concert by Pandit Sandipan Samajpati accompanied on Sarangi by Pankaj Mishra and on Tabla by Hindole Majumdar.
Sandipan, a distinguished Kirana gharana vocalist, received extensive training from the late Pandit Manas Chakraborty for nearly two decades. His renditions of Khayal and Thumri reflect the Kirana Gharana's tunefulness, serene movement, and caressive style, while also incorporating elements from other major gharanas, thanks to guidance from the late Pandit Ram Ashraye Jha of the Gwalior Gharana.
Pankaj Mishra, a Sarangi artist from a lineage of exceptional musicians, was trained from an early age by the renowned Sarangi player Pt. Mahesh Prasad Mishra of the Benaras Gharana. He has performed solo and as an accompanying artist at several prestigious music festivals in India, such as Dover Lane Music Conference, Sangeet Piyasi, and Sankat Mochan Festival.
Hindole Majumdar, inspired by his maternal grandfather and mother, began learning tabla at age 5 and captivated audiences with his first performance at 10. Initially trained by Shri Shibshankar Karmakar, he continued his training under tabla maestro late Pandit Sankha Chatterjee and has also learned South Indian Rhythm from Mridangam exponent Pandit S. Shekhar.
