After a several-year hiatus, the “Ask a” series of programs are back, with the first
being “Ask a Native American,” held at Temple Shir Shalom, 3999 Walnut Lake
Road, West Bloomfield, Michigan 48323 on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from
7:00-8:30 pm. This is an opportunity to ask questions, through a moderator, of
two representatives of Native American communities, Euphemia “Sue” Franklin,
Executive Director, of the Southeastern Michigan Indians and an Enrolled
Member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa, and Travis Schuyler, Program
Manager of the North American Indian Association of Detroit, about Native
American traditions, customs, culture, and spirituality. The diversity of thought
and practice of Native Americans will be particularly emphasized. Light
