Realtor Roundtable - Self Defense

Richard Schmidt is the owner of Vigilant Self Defense, LLC. He offers a variety of classes related to personal safety including concealed carry, emergency first aid, non-lethal weapons, and more.

Before he started teaching classes, he spent five years serving in the Marine Corps, then another five years pursuing a degree in education. Since then, he’s used his background in these two areas to provide life-saving information in ways that are practical, and relatable to the everyday lives of his students.

The main area of focus in all of Richard’s classes is helping his students develop a vigilant mindset. Everything he teaches is designed to help his students make good decisions and develop good habits as it relates to detecting and avoiding threats so they can live safe and happy lives. However, for those times when it is unavoidable, Richard’s goal is to equip his students with the lifesaving skills they need to win the fight and make it home safely.
