Zoomerangs Kids Running Program - Spring 2025

If your kids like to run, we've got a fun program just for them: Zoomerangs! This non-competitive program is designed for kids ages 12 & under, with the goal of running the Celebrate! West Hartford Kids' K or 5K on Sunday, June 8. It gives them the opportunity to experience running in a fun, friendly atmosphere where the motto is "Will run for worms" (gummy worms, that is!).

Zoomerangs provides kids with the opportunity to have fun running, make friends and get stronger/build endurance so they can perform better in other sports (or rock the mile in gym class). Most of all, our goal is to empower kids to accomplish their goals and instill in them a lifelong love of running. It's also a great opportunity for mom or dad to spend quality time with your kids - and get in shape too (if you can keep up!).

Starting April 6, we will meet on Sundays for 6 sessions with one raindate. There will be no session held on Sundays, Apr 20 or May 25 because of Easter weekend and Memorial Day weekend.

Participanting kids will get a free Zoomerangs T-shirt and can earn special charms and candy as they run laps!

Our goal race will be the Celebrate! West Hartford Kids' K or 5K. There is a separate race registration fee. The Kids' K is $5, and the 5K is $30. To sign up for the goal race or learn more, visit the Town of West Hartford's website here.
