Come and join us for an interactive lecture and demonstration evening, discussing and exploring groundwork, core and pole exercises to help improve and maintain posture in your horse. We will also identify how exercises can not only be used for post injury rehabilitation, but also for injury prevention, or prehabilitation.
We will begin by discussing the anatomy of the horse, why we need to maintain good posture, and what injuries we are trying to prevent.
We will then head to the arena to watch a horse working through some simple pole exercise and groundwork, discussing the benefits of each exercise, what to look for in correct movement, and how best to apply the exercises.
Following on from here, we will work through some stretches and exercises with a selection of horses, enabling you to learn how to do them correctly and take this knowledge and skill away with you to apply to your own horse.
This event is open to all that are stabled at Tewin Hill Farm.
Please arrive promptly for a 6.30pm start with the lecture.
We are outdoors, so dress appropriately. We will also be around horses, so suitable footwear must be worn to participate.
Please contact Leah Clarke on 07973 854335 to reserve your slot.
Numbers are limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
Cost: £28.
