The latest from his treasure chest of music writing is "The Secret Public", Book of the Year for both the Guardian and the Evening Standard - and it's the focus of our Late Lounge session at this year's Monty Lit Fest.

Looking at key moments in music and entertainment history between 1955 and 1979 which helped move gay culture from the margins to the mainstream, the book will be at the heart of the discussion between Jon and Rhys Mwyn - bassist with Anrhrefn of course.

Jon has much to say about punk so this will be a rare and memorable encounter!
