Step back in time at Shepton Mallet Prison as we mark 400 years of crime and punishment. Join us every Bank Holiday in 2025 for an immersive Living History Day, where the past comes to life.

Meet costumed characters, hear chilling stories, and discover the shocking punishments of the past. Try oakum picking, stand in the pillories, and uncover the secrets of the prison, including the mysterious secret hoard.
