Tea Experience: A Sensory Workshop

One of the best parts of AWHI is sitting down for a cuppa before class and chatting with your mates. Since tea is such an integral part of the studio experience, why not get a little more yoga about our tea, too?!

This workshop blends the meditative practice of mindful tea preparation and drinking with gentle breathing and sensory awareness techniques. Participants will learn to slow down, connect deeply with the present moment, and cultivate inner calm—one mindful sip at a time. Perfect for tea lovers, wellness seekers, and anyone wishing to restore balance in a busy world.

Both conventional tea and herbal tea will be available for those who are sensitive to caffeine.

Led by tea expert *Souvic Nandy*, co-founder of the Asian School of Tea, an institution with branches in India, Thailand, New Zealand and the Philippines. Souvik promotes sustainable tea tourism, encouraging travellers to experience the authenticity of tea regions while supporting ethical practices. His programs seamlessly combine tea education with a commitment to environmental conservation and cultural preservation. By connecting traditional tea artisans with modern enthusiasts, he ensures the institution remains a bridge between heritage and innovation.
