Class will have a focus on using the stripology ruler to cut fabrics for borders and other units.
1) Cutting LOF and WOF using the Stripology Ruler System
2) Attaching Borders/Pinning Methods
*If time allows in the afternoon we will also talk about Half Square triangles (possibly the Perfect Slotted Trimmers for HST)
Everyone will have their own 8ft table. There are 3 large cutting stations and 3 large ironing stations
Let's get those beginning quilts finished up properly! Often times adding a border to a quilt sounds easy but there are several essential tips and tricks you need to do so it goes on correctly! This class will cover how to properly add borders to a quilt. You will want to bring your own quilt top to add borders to so you can learn.
Bring your own quilt that needs border(s).
Quilts can be wall hanging, baby quilts, table runners or full size bed quilts.
Fabric requirements will be calculated in class or you can come into the Beehive Quilt Shop and ask a Fabric Curator to help with your calculations. (Border fabric length of your quilt top is ideal. This will provide the least amount of stretching)

Brother Dynamic Walking Foot w/ 1/4 inch or Stitch in the Ditch Foot Low Shank Machines and bring the high shank adapter if you have a high shank sewing machine

Stripology Part of the Class
- Stripology Ruler (not required but an excellent ruler to use in quilting)
- 4 Fat Quarters that look attractive together (to practice cutting squares and strips to make into a small project)
