Three years ago surrounded by books and thinking about constitutional change, Pākehā theatre maker Lisa Maule decided to write poetry.
Revelation Valley is a selection of her writing performed by Lisa with titles such as My Capitalist Stapler, Cohesion is Also a Radical Act and Hate (a poem about love).
Each night a different invited guest adds to the creativity with a taste of their own work.

Lisa Maule grew up in Wellington where she was born and went to Karori Normal School and Wellington Girls College. She has two young adult children and two black fluffy dogs.
As a theatre maker Lisa started in the 1990s, her first role outside of university was as the technical operator at BATS Theatre on a Red Mole show.
Other formative experiences were at Taki Rua Theatre and with women's theatre such as Not Broadcast Quality and Magdalena Aotearoa.
The creative practice Lisa is best known for is her lighting design work and she also loves to draw, paint and make collage. Lisa has a penchant for collecting chairs which has been enabled by being a set designer and is good at cutting cardboard.
